EFFECT OF PAYMENT OF WAGES IN LIEU OF NOTICE OF TERMINATION ON CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT IN NIGERIA
Abstract
This paper is intended to highlight the effect of payment in lieu of notice of termination of contract of employment by an employer and acceptance of such payments by the employee on the contract of employment? Put in another way, when can payment of wages in lieu of notice be said to have effectively terminated contract of employment? This has become necessary as it seems to have become a recurrent jurisprudential issue in Nigeria Labour Law.
